The Buckeye Institute Applauds Ohio Senate for Prioritizing Criminal Justice & Sentencing Reform
Today, the Ohio Senate, led by President Larry Obhof, announced its priorities for the 2019 legislative session. Among those priorities is criminal justice reform and specifically the need for sentencing reform for low-level drug offenses. Over the past eight years, Ohio policymakers have taken important steps to improve the criminal justice system by encouraging local rehabilitation efforts, and removing barriers for those trying to turn their lives around.
