The Buckeye Institute and National Right to Work File Suit Demanding Union Return Wages Taken from Workers

The Buckeye Institute, in partnership with National Right to Work Foundation, filed a federal lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio on behalf of Penny Wilson, Theresa Fannin, and Kozait Elkhatib, who have had money illegally taken out of their paychecks and given to the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, Ohio (AFSCME) Council 8.

The Buckeye Institute: Ohio Senate Bill 288 Would Strengthen Ohio’s Criminal Justice System

The Buckeye Institute testified before the Ohio House Criminal Justice Committee on the criminal justice reform policies in Senate Bill 288, which would be a “significant step toward meaningful criminal justice reform” and “should be enacted without delay.” “Although more criminal justice reform remains to be done,” Buckeye testified, Senate Bill 288 “will improve Ohio’s criminal justice system as policymakers look to balance public safety, due process, and constitutional freedoms.”
