Lawson, research fellow at The Buckeye Institute, testified Wednesday before the Ohio House State and Local Government Committee on the policies in House Bill 399, which would trim burdensome licensing requirements for Ohio’s cosmetologists, making it easier for people seeking to work to start a new career. In his testimony, Lawson urged policymakers to “remove at least some of the occupational licensing obstacles faced by Ohio’s working men and women.”
