We Defend Your First Amendment Rights

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

First Amendment, U.S. Constitution

These words are the cornerstone of the U.S. Constitution. Unfortunately, too often, the government violates people’s First Amendment rights, whether it be retaliation for speaking out against the government, forcing public employees to associate with government unions they disagree with, or forcing charities to report personal information on their donors to the government. The Buckeye Institute defends citizens against these and other First Amendment violations so that all Americans can practice their free speech rights.
